πŸ§ͺ Bilirubin

πŸ§ͺ ALT

πŸ§ͺ AST

πŸ§ͺ Total Protein

πŸ§ͺ Alkaline Phosphatase

πŸ§ͺ Albumin

πŸ§ͺ Globulin

πŸ§ͺ Gamma-GT

πŸ‘©β€βš•οΈ Who May This Test Be Suitable For?

This test may be suitable if you:

πŸ§ͺ Want to check liver health

🍺 Want to assess the impact of alcohol intake

πŸ’Š Take medicines that may require liver monitoring

😴 Feel tired or generally unwell

πŸ“Š Have previously had abnormal liver blood results

πŸ“Œ This test provides liver marker information only and does not diagnose liver disease on its own.

⚑ Why Are These Markers Important?

πŸ§ͺ ALT and AST are liver enzymes that may rise when liver cells are irritated or damaged.

πŸ§ͺ Gamma-GT can be linked with bile duct irritation, alcohol intake or certain medicines.

πŸ§ͺ Alkaline Phosphatase can provide information about bile flow and may also be influenced by bone health.

🟑 Bilirubin is produced when red blood cells break down and may rise if the liver or bile flow is affected.

πŸ’ͺ Albumin, Globulin and Total Protein help assess the liver’s protein production and overall protein balance.

πŸ’‘ Together, these markers provide a useful overview of liver function, liver enzymes, bile flow and protein production.

πŸ” Why Is This More Than Just a Liver Enzyme Test?

A liver check is not just about ALT or AST. This panel looks at several different aspects of liver health.

This test helps assess:

πŸ§ͺ Liver cell irritation or inflammation

🟑 Bilirubin processing and bile flow

πŸ’ͺ Protein production and liver synthetic function

πŸ“Š Patterns that may help guide whether further review is needed

πŸ’‘ Looking at the full panel gives more context than checking a single liver marker alone.
