๐Ÿฆ‹ Symptoms that may overlap with thyroid changes

๐Ÿ“Œ Menopause and perimenopause are usually assessed based on age, symptoms and clinical history. Blood tests can be helpful in some situations but are not always needed.

โšก Why Are These Markers Important?

๐ŸŒธ FSH and LH are reproductive hormones that can change as ovarian hormone activity reduces.

๐ŸŒบ Oestradiol is a key form of oestrogen and may reduce during the menopausal transition.

๐Ÿฆ‹ TSH and Free T4 check thyroid function, as thyroid-related symptoms can sometimes overlap with menopause symptoms such as tiredness, mood changes and weight changes.

๐Ÿ” How Is This Different from the Essential Female Hormones Test?

The Menopause Blood Test is a more focused panel designed around common menopause and perimenopause markers.

Menopause Blood Test focuses on:

๐ŸŒธ FSH, LH and Oestradiol

๐Ÿฆ‹ Thyroid screening with TSH and Free T4

Essential Female Hormones Blood Test is broader and also includes:

๐Ÿ’ช Testosterone and Free Testosterone

๐Ÿงช SHBG and Albumin

๐Ÿ“Š Prolactin

๐Ÿฆ‹ Free T3 as part of a wider thyroid profile

๐Ÿ’ก If your main concern is menopause-related symptoms, this focused test may be suitable. If you want a broader hormone overview, you may wish to consider the Essential Female Hormones Blood Test.
